Sky home plug

have moved into flat that has a sky home plug what is this used for please

hi @annsweetland 

 

I have not seen a socket labelled like that. 

 

It just looks  like your flat is being fed from a communal system and would appear to have a feed for Satellite (the lead that is plugged in using what we call an 'F plug')

 

The chances are this is just a standard feed suitable for Freesat receiver, or a TV with inbuilt Satellite Freesat  or if you have a SKY HD subscription SKY HD. 

 

SKY HD is no longer offered and it would depend on the communal system as to whether it could be adapted (using an adpater explained in the link @Invisiblename posted earlier) to work with SKY Q
