Sky sent our Sky Mini box by DPD. For the last three days, we have been getting emails from DPD, saying, 'We are sorry. Our driver missed you.'
THIS IS A LIE. Because we have a porter in attendance 24 hours a day at the building. The porter has seen DPD delivery van pass by but never stop at our building for delivery. We are now without TV for the last 10 days.
DPD did the same when another company sent us a parcel.
Why does Sky continue to use this incompetent company?
Sky needs to get its act together. It is quite well known that DPD is unable to provide a proper delivery service. However, since Sky continue to use them and cause their customers problems, it is Sky that will suffer. We now feel inclined to cancel our Sky subscription.

Re: Sky delivery by DD
DPD reliability varies across the country, much like many services.
I actually rate DPD as the best of all the most commonly used ones in my area at least. They have been more consistently reliable, friendly and trustworthy than Evri, Royal Mail or DHL for several years. Their app and live tracking capability are also both excellent.
If I were you I'd be contacting your local DPD depot and complain to them.

I agree with @Angel_Aka , as someone who uses many delivery companies for my work, I would rate DPD and their App as one of the best.

Re: Sky delivery by DD
Yeah your local driver must be running late and thinking delivering to an apartment is too much hassle. I would complain to the local depot. Our DPD local drivers are great. Evri used to be superb and the driver changed and now they're worse than useless. It's all about the quality of the individuals.

Re: Sky delivery by DD
So, after contacting Sky four times (1st March), we finally received our SkyQ mini box today. But we have still not received our Sky viewing card. So we are unable to watch anything. Looks like to get the viewing card, we will have to keep calling Sky and hope that one day they may decide to send the viewing card. I have told Sky that I will not pay the subscription fee till I am able to view the TV channels I have subscribed to.
To beat it all, I am in bed, down with a bad case of the flu and unable to keep myself entertained and distracted from my woes.

Re: Sky delivery by DD
Sky Q mini boxes don't have viewing cards, only the main box!
edit: and you can't withhold payment. That will end in your services being restricted,

Re: Sky delivery by DD
That's only partly correct, Daniel0210.
However, SkyQ mini box gets its signal from the main SkyQ box. Without a viewing card, the SkyQ box will not function and therefore will not send any signal to the mini box. The function of the mini box is to enable us to watch different channel in the rooms where the box feeds its signal, which can be different to what SkyQ maybe streaming to anothr room.

Now I'm confused. You've been waiting for a Mini Box but don't have a viewing card for your main box?

Re: Sky delivery by DD
I have had Sky Q since 2019 so I know you need one viewing card. So you hadn't previously mentioned not having a viewing card (in the main Sky Q box). Why haven't you got one?

Re: Sky delivery by DD
Thank you for your reply. The Sky viewing card needed to be replaced, as it was thought that the card may have also been corrupted since many of the Sky channels we had subscribed to could not be viewed. What I had mentioned earlier in the thread was that we were waiting for all three, the two boxes and the viewing card. I have been with Sky for the last 25 years, I was hoping for better customer relations from Sky.

Re: Sky delivery by DD
Thats correct. The old card it seems was corrupted, so Sky confirmed a replacement card would be sent.
