Hi @Trace344

Is your Q box well ventilated and not stacked with other devices.

It's easy for the boxes to overheat in current ambient conditions.

If this is not the issue, then try a Reset Settings in the Q box hidden menu.

To enter hidden menu press Home and navigate down to Settings but do not select Settings.
With Settings highlighted press 0 0 1 Select.
Only Carry out the first Reset (Reset Settings) as the other two will wipe all recordings.
After the Reset you will have to re pair your Bluetooth remote If you use one.
If you cannot switch the Q box on with the remote after the Reset press the Standby button (Amber led) on the front of the box.
To re pair the remote press 1 & 3 together on the remote and follow onscreen instructions to re pair.

Make sure that you are pointing the remote at the Q box when you press 1 & 3 together.

Resetting the settings will also reset:

Audio visual settings, such as picture resolution and HDMI control
Settings changed within the hidden engineer menu, include LNB type. If on a communal dish you need to reset the LNB to SCR in the hidden menu. After changing the LNB type you need to reboot the Q box.

Re: Sky box keeps turning off

My Q box has turned itself off twice in last 15 mins - able to restart  but this is exactly  the same as the start of general Q outage in May - box has worked with out any issues since then

Re: Sky box keeps turning off

Hi,

I've been having the same problem and followed these steps to rectify. Now I have accessibility set up on screen and am not able to reconnect my remote to navigate.

Any suggestions please?

@Eagles2018 try the following...

Unpair their Sky Q remote from the box by holding 4&6

Wait for the remote to flash you should then be able to dismiss the information screen by clicking on Skip & set up later

Hold 1&3 to repair the remote control

If 4&6 does not allow you to clear the information screen, try holding 7&9 to reset the Sky Q remote then hold 1&3 and follow the on-screen setup journey to allow the remote to control your TV.

Re: Sky box keeps turning off

Mine has been doing it for months. It seemed to be happening all over the country then it rectified itself and stopped for about a month or two then recently started happening again
