Sky blaming ee and vice versa - help!

My internet connection is good with ee, however after tv (Samsung) has been in standby does not connect back to WiFi. Sky engineer came and blamed ee connectivity and said ee have to resolve - ee gave advice (switch off) but issue remains .  Any help welcome -

@Schelll If its the Samsung TV thats dropping the connection then thats nothing to do with Sky surely and would be a problem between EE and Samsung.

If it was the Sky Q box then that would be something to do with Sky

The WiFi stays connected to the tv (and shows on the Samsung settings) but on sky tv it's showing as not connected to broadband. All other devices in the house have no problem with WiFi.

@Schelll For clarification are you saying that the Sky Q box is showing as not connected on the TV screen ?

@Schelll Have you tried a network reset through the Sky Q settings menu. Regardless of what the Samsung TV settings are saying as that will connect independently, you need to try resetting it via Sky Q.

If it your tv that's losing  the WiFi you and Sky box still connected to WiFi you have all have all your  Sky tv  and many of the apps on your tv will be available on your Sky box so why not use them on there until a solution to your tv can be found.

@DaveDrizen @Schelll has already confirmed it their Sky box thats losing connection not the TV

Presumably you re using your sky remote to switch both your tv and sky box in to standby, So what is realy happening is when you switch your tv to standby it also swiching your Sky Q box to standby and when you Sky box switch back out of standby it's no longer  connected to the internet? If you Sky box was not gong into standby as well  there is no way that just your tv going into standby would cause you to lose the internet connection on your Sky box if it was still on. There is a setting the Sky box settings to stop your sky box going  into standby when your tv dose.  And you will have to use your tv to put your tv ibans out of standby  but leave your Sky box on, This will sort you problem to existent as you Sky box won't lose internet  every time you put you tv into standby but your Sky box will still lose internet connection if you  actually put you skybox into standby so a proper solution is still required.

Press Home on your Sky Q remote.
Scroll down and select Settings.
Select Setup, then choose Network settings
Select Advanced Settings.
Choose Connect to a router from another provider.
Select Connect using Wi-Fi.
Find your EE Wi-Fi network name from the list.
Enter your EE Wi-Fi password (found on your router card).

Tip: If it loses connection overnight constantly, try turning off Eco mode on the Q box under Preferences.
