Sky TV

We left a recorded program running - and now the blue Q light circles endlessly, and we cannot stop it.  We can't get into the box even though we turn it off for long periods.  We can't get into the TV - it just shows No Signal.

How do we 'break in' to the Q box and get it working again?

Hi @StephenSec
Work through the following link

Ordering a new Q box usually means a doorstep swap.
Don’t forget to keep your viewing card from the failed box if you order a replacement.

Hi @StephenSec

Firstly it's not advisable to stack the Q box with other devices.

Work through the following link

If you have to order a new Q box this usually means a doorstep swap.
Don’t forget to keep your viewing card from the failed box if you order a replacement. Also if the box you are replacing is a 2TB there are two versions of power supply. One has a standard C7 (figure of eight) power lead socket in the back of the Q box. The other has a separate power supply. Although this still has the C7 power lead into the power supply there is a multi pin Din power socket in the Q box for connecting the power supply. Make sure that the replacement box has the power supply included if the Q box has the orange coded multi pin din socket in the back of the Q box. See below.

@StephenSec

Did you try the advice when it was given last month and then it has happened again?

Didn't work last time and I don't know why it reset itself, which it did after I randomly plugged and unplugged the box in frustration.  Hasn't worked this time either....

@StephenSec

I've removed my post as being the answer ~ because it's not. You may have to contact Sky and arrange a box swap as @oldfella has mentioned.
