Sky TV

we've had the sky tv for a couple of months now and it keeps saying no signal after a few hours of use.

it also buffers when I want to fast forward a recording and sometimes stops working altogether.

When you say "the Sky TV", do you mean Sky Glass? Because this sounds like something you might get on that as it has no local recordings.

No, I don't have sky glass just the sky Q box in the lounge and then the mini in the bedroom (which is the one that's having issues)

Ah ok. That'll be wifi issues for the buffering if it's the mini.
