Have just bought new Samsung Qled TV have connected sky Q box which is working by using 2 remotes Samsung remote to turn on TV the Sky Q. Can change channels, pause etc but can not use volume control and not able to switch on and off. Sky box does not recognise TV when trying to reset.
Hope this makes sense

Hi @Noel+J
First reboot the Q box.
Have you tried rebooting your Q box?
To reboot press Standby on your Sky Q remote (if the box responds to the remote), and then switch off and unplug at the mains.
Wait at least 30 secs and then Plug back in and switch your Sky Q box back on at the mains.
Wait for the on screen instructions to disappear and the front led to turn Amber. Then wait for 30 secs before you press Home on your Sky Q remote or if this is not working press the standby button on the front of the Q box (Amber led)
note: some features may take up to 5 minutes to return.
Then
With the Q box on with green led try completly resetting your Bluetooth remote.
Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the remote led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.

Hi Oldfella
Have tried your suggestions but still not working.
After going through the instructions on the TV to tune in the remote it is saying it does not recognise this TV.
could the TV be to new for my Sky Q box

Hi @Noel+J
You don't specify what brand TV you have. Most of the TV brands are covered but there are still some obscure brands that have not been coded.
If your Television brand is not listed in the remote setup then have you tried Other brands category?

I think it's a Samsung from the original post

should have revisited the earlier post again.
hi @Noel+J
There's little doubt that Samsung should be covered for all models. It's not often that the TV manufacturers introduce a different code for newer models.
Sony codes here work on latest models and also the very early ones..
Main error in remote not pairing is that the remote is directly in line of the Q box during pairing.
ie
With the Q box on with green led try completly resetting your Bluetooth remote again.
Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the remote led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.
Assume you have also tried the setup by Going to Home - Settings - Setup - Remote control.

Yes, have tried everything you have mentioned.
I have typed in the TV model but it's not on the list.
