I have recently had to move my Sky Router next to my SKY Q main box. A SKY Q Mini in another room has a bad wifi signal now. I was told when SKY Q installed that it could also AUTOMATICALLY connect via the power lines if the signal was bad. This doesnt appear to happen automatically. I have seen a post that says you have to disable the the wifi on the main SKY Q box, but the instructions didnt seem to work. How can I set up the boxes so that they communicate via mains cables instead of Wifi?

Not without additional hardware.

Not true. (There is a back story about this - but was not implemented)
Sky can supply extenders - I presume they haven't sent you those...?
