Sky Q mini boxes dropping out every 30 seconds

Am getting to my wits end now and looking at cancelling multiroom altogether . I have sky q and 2 mini boxes wired by ethernet . WiFi on my sky fibre router is turned off and I have 3 amazon eero boxes taking care of whole house wifi ( sky router not up to it ) also each eero has ethernet backhaul so very stable . Both mini boxes are ethernet connected into a respective eero and signal strength is very good ..  so then why are the mini boxes disconnecting and losing sky q box every 30 seconds or so ? . Tried all the reset procedures on this message board and am ready to give up

I have pretty much the same problem. It seems like any 'non-sky' WLAN is hobbled in this way. 

Recently changed from and Asus Lyra mesh set up to a TP-Link Deco setup and the problem is exactly the same. 

In my case, the Decos are all connected via Ethernet and the main box and two of the mini boxes are connected by cable with all WiFi functionality on the boxes turned off. The 3rd mini box cannot (easily) be connected by cable so I've been trying to get it to work with WiFi. 

The connection is strong and on setup works for 30-60 seconds before disconnecting and then not reconnecting until the connection is fully reset. Rinse and repeat. 

It's very frustrating. With the previous setup, I resorted to using another Lyra box to act as a WiFi bridge and had the 3 box connected in that way but this should be totally unnecessary. 

From the behavour, it really feels like this is by design and there is some sort of check happening in the background which then causes the box to terminate the WiFi connection. Why this is is anyone's guess - as far as I can tell, I'm not trying to do anything which isn't supported / allowed - just trying to use a more 'professional' WiFi set up.

@Why_Sky when Sky is not your broadband provider or you use a third party router then any mini boxes you are tring to connect by wifi need to be connected to the Sky main box as they will not connect to third party broadband by wifi

@Why_Sky this has alway been the case with Sky mini boxes when connecting by wifi the same as the main box will only connect to a third party router over wifi on the 2.4Ghz frequency it wil not connect on the 5 Ghz frequency.

This due to the Sky mesh where the Sky router is part of the mesh but when using third party broadband/router the Sky Q main box sends out the mesh signal for the minis to connect to it.

The Sky mesh is based on the Airties mesh system from circa 2015
