Sky Q mini box won’t power up

Sky Q mini box has no power light on. Unplugging the box and re-connecting and the light comes on for 2 seconds and then goes off. The main box is working properly.

Remote is fine. There is no standby light after a very short time.

Yes, as far as I could. I have no standby light to turn green. The box will not go to standby.

Then you know the conclusion @bills+email 

To complete the recovery procedure on your Sky Q Mini box:

  1. Switch the Sky Q Mini box off at the mains.
  2. Hold down the Reset button on the back of the Sky Q Mini box and switch it back on at the mains.
  3. Keep holding it until the light on the front flashes red and green. This will take about 30 seconds.
  4. Once it flashes red and green, press the standby button on the front of the box.

If the lights don't show after 30 seconds, repeat steps 1 to 2. If it still doesn't work, you might need to replace your Sky Q box.

I now have a permanent red standby light, but no reaction to the remote.

hi @bills+email 
Have you tried switching on the mini using the standby button (Amber led) on the front right of the Q box.

If this turns the mini on then 

Try completly resetting your Bluetooth remote.
Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.

I had this issue and found it to be a faulty connection between the SkyQ mini and the tv set.

Switching everything off - unplugging and re-plugging both ends of HDMI in - and powering back up fixed the issue.

I have tried to reset my sky mini box as it doesn't work at all, now the remote control won't even work, I have reset the box the router, tried to re pair, taken all the steps but still no luck
