Sky Q mini box not showing live tv or recordings

Our main sky Q box works fine and says the connection for the mini box is connnected. On the other tv with the mini box the sky screen comes up with the menu and tv schedule but if you click on a channel it is a blue screen that flickers, the same for a recording. I have tried resetting everything at one point it all went and was a blurred flashing screen of the tv schedule but I turned it off and on again and then you could read it, but still wouldn't let you watch anything. 

Any help would be much appreciated
