Sky Q mini Box live thumbnail

Hello all, just looking for an answer.

I recently moved to a Sky q 2TB box with 1 sky mini box. 

I was just wondering, when you scroll through the channels on the sky mini box, are the thumbnail supoosed to switch to a live view, like the main sky q box does, or is it just a picture preview thumbnail. I did notice that if you switch the main sky q box to record 6 recording rather than 5 you lose the live thumbnail feature on the main box, but I have switched it back to 5, but my sky mini box still isn't showing live thumbnail, just still picture. I wasn't sure if the Sky mini box supported this feature or not. Please can someone tell me if the sky mini box has live thumbnail, when you scroll through channels or they just still thumbnails.

No unfortunately the mini boxes don't support a live preview .

@nigea99 Thanks for letting me know. I only noticed recently burt couldn't remember which box I saw that feature on. Main or mini. and then changing the sky record maximum number from 5 to 6, and then changing it back again, I thought the mini box still had updated it's self hence the Live thumbnails didn't work. So thanks for clearing that up for me.

I find it a really usefull feature as I often skip to other content during adverts and use the mini preview to know when to return

It is a feature I miss on the mini (although I don't use the mini anywhere near as much )

BTW As the minis rely on the main box for their content I believe  it is technically the main box that doesn't have the extra tuner needed  to enable such a feature on the mini(s)
