Sky Q loses internet connection every few days part 2

Hi,

I started a thread on this a month or so back but it just died off without a solution.

Still have the same problem of Sky Q disconnecting from Sky broadband every few days. Been through the whole software/firmware updates but no difference. My Roku stick never loses connection so it's unlikely to be a broadband problem.

Im having the same problem! 2 years and no issues at all... now all

of a sudden its disconecting from Ethernet wired broadband everyday. Live channels are still available but no catchup services. Whats even stranger is when i go in to reset the network its logging in to my neighbours wifi that i dont even have the password for. 2 mini boxes upstairs also freezing daily with same issue and having to do a full reboot. Thought it was an Virgin Media broadband issue at first but no other devices are disconnecting and speeds test upstairs still showing approx 135mb speeds wireless. Im at my wits end with and Sky dont want to know so close to just cancelling everything.

Wow, your box is losing connection even when linked via ethernet?

I've tried the updates Sky recommended but it didn't fix it.

I think the box will need replaced, which will unfortunately mean all recordings lost 😟

I'm waiting for someone from Sky on here to advise what to do next.

ive been having the same issue for the past few months, all my boxes are connected via ethernet, but the main box will suddenly just drop connection for about 10 seconds. happens about 2-6 times daily. i have no other issues with any other device. sky just dont seem to have an answer for this

You got FTTP if so then you should maybe have selected an always on connection or it will lose connection.
