Sky Q lead

I've just had a media wall fitted and now the lead from the sky q box isn't long enough to reach the tv - do I need to ask sky for a longer one ?

Sky won't supply one.  Any 'high speed' HDMI cable should be suitable, but the maximum length for guaranteed UHD over a passive cable is three metres.

Re: Sky Q lead

If you google and research further for "hdmi 4k extender", you should find some boxes that will boost the signal.  Essentially, you'll have two HDMI cables, with this box in the middle.  It's likely the extender box will need a power supply, so add that to your consideration for cable routing.
