No Sky loyalty

I have been with sky with tv and broadband for 22 years and have 5 mobile devices with sky. I am now going to cancel my subscription and move to BT. I called today to discuss the renewal of my contract as offers are coming to an end. First call I was offered a disappointing £6 reduction and a sky glass offer. I was told notes have been added to my account for when I called back.  I then called back after speaking to my wife and was told there was no notes and the best deal was more than I am paying now. The call handler could only say that these are the offers. No notes on my account from the previous call and could no give 2 hoots that I was leaving. What an embarrassment and no way to treat a customer of 22 years. Goodbye sky.

Sure, but you're not telling Sky by posting here...

Re: No Sky loyalty

I have already spoken to Sky twice and written a complaint email. Sky are more than aware.

Ok, thanks for updating us.  Not sure there's a basis for complaint.

Re: No Sky loyalty

The complaint is based on the fact that I called twice with in 2 hours of each of the calls and I was told that the offer on the first call would be written on my notes so when I called back the offer could be seen. The second call handler stated no notes were written and that offer was not valid. How sky can claim offers change with in 2 hours of calls is ridiculous. What's the point.
very poor customer service. There is the basis for the complaint.

Generally an offer made is only available for the duration of the call.

But good luck!

@Davescott21
Significant discounts are harder to come by these days so on the forum we advise that if you’re offered something acceptable be prepared to agree to it there and then because if you decide to think about it the offer is unlikely to be available when you call back later.

If you decide it’s no longer value for money and you change providers remember that in 18/24 months time you'll be in the same position with that company at which point you'll be able to return to Sky and benefit from the new customer discounts available at that particular time.
