Sky Q front panel button gets stuck in pressed position
My kids often use the Q button on the front of the Sky Q box to find the remote control, but when they do this the button often gets stuck in the pressed position causing the box to lock-up. The button is catching on the panel edge. When I release the button and power-cycle the box it restarts but forgets the pairing to the remote control and lots of other app settings, which is very frustrating. The long press of the Q button must be triggering a memory reset. So I think I am reporting a design issue with the Sky Q front panel button. Other than putting some tape over the button to stop my kids using it, are there any other solutions to this?

Probably not. The Q platform goes back to 2016 and hasn't been manufactured for several years now: with the upcoming end of satellite broadcasting to the UK and RoI there's no realistic likelihood of any revisions.
