Sky Q freezing and picture going pink

Sky Q keeps freezing snd the screen goes pink snd the box makes a whiring noise 

have had the box replaced but the new box has just started doing the same thing

I have this exact issue! Box sounds like a washing machine on a spin cycle and only thing that works is a complete reset. I have bt/ee WiFi...not sure if that makes a difference!

Would that make a difference? I have bt/ee but its what ive always had!

I have always had bt but have recently changed to ee snd had a nes router 

don't see how that can make a difference

Same here so that could be the issue. Ive got an engineer booked but 1st appointment is 1st Sept! Will add an update after that or if you know anything please let me know!

I wouldn't ask if it wasn't relevant, I promise 😉 but yes I agree it absolutely should not make a difference.

However, there seems to be an issue with the ethernet ports on the new EE routers which is making Q boxes lock up.

If you're connected over wifi though, this is definitely not the root cause.

Ah I see. Mine is actually hardwired as I live in an old farm house so WiFi is not the best! Do you think an engineer will be able to sort a workaround?

The sky box is hard wired into the ee router

Yeah thought it might be. Try it over wifi if you can, or probably better, add a cheap 100Mb switch between the two and see if it helps
