Sky Q deactivated

Hi. I got a Sky Glass TV and they appear to have deactiavted my Sky Q. Is this normal

@JAMES552  Yes has you can't have both on the same account it's one or the other 

 

you will be sent return instructions for your Q hardware when you are near the end of your glass cooling off period

Thanks. They never explained that it wold be disabled at the tiime albeit they have been looking for it back and have charged me for not returning it. Why can you not have both

@JAMES552  Because sky doesn't allow more than one tv product per household 

 

if you have been asked to return the Q hardware you are contractually obliged to do so and obtain proof of postage 

 

once returned after about 8 weeks you can call sky tell them about your proof of postage and they should refund the non return charge

There's no technical reason, but Sky has never permitted subscription platforms to be mixed.  In addition, Glass/Stream will effectively be the successor product to Q once satellite television transmission ceases in a few years time.

Thanks. Pity the puck doesn't record especially BBC and you cant work it from the app like Sky Q
