Sky Q box keeps dropping wifi.
Sky Q box keeps dropping wifi, I have only had Sky Q for 6 months, it was ok until last 2 weeks. What has changed, nothing in my home setup.

@RussRob Have you tried rebooting your main Q box ie
putting your box into Standby then switching it off at the wall for 30 seconds
switch it back on then follow the on screen instructions
then
reboot the mini box
I may be a Sky Superuser but I am still just a Sky customer

Did you ever get this fixed? I'm having the same problem and it's driving me insane.

Who is your broadband provider? What hub/router do you have?

Re: Sky Q box keeps dropping wifi.
I use Talktalk 500 mbps amazon eero 6 pro router. This is not the issue as other devices in the same room never drop the wifi including the TV which the sky box is attached to.

Fair enough.
Their are similar issues reported with the EE Smart Hub Plus using ethernet or Wifi (which is why I asked).
I think it is important to note that Sky Q and it's networking tech was launched in 2016. Sometimes I just think (much like my HP printer and few smart plugs I have), it just can't cope with more modern wifi standards and security and yearns for simpler times!
In the end I seem to have fixed my issues with Q (currently anyway), by connecting the box wirelessly to a simpler "compatibility" network that the Smart Hub Plus can generate for older devices.
I have various devices connected to it that struggle staying connected otherwise. I believe the eero has a similar feature called "legacy mode", perhaps that is worth a try?

Re: Sky Q box keeps dropping wifi.
Sky... 500mbs download speed and I have a (new) sky router. Yes, I connected via WPS, but it just keeps falling off. It's a bit too far away from my sky too, and I had buffering so I have a nest around the house, which it also will not stay connected too. It's the ONLY device around the house that can't stay connected to my wifi whether it's the router or the nest. If it's not fixed, i'm not paying for it... simple!

Done this many times over the last 4 months, getting to the point where I am thinking of cancelling sky if they cannot sort this.
