Since moving to Youfibre I tend to get the dreaded "Failed, Network remote problem" I have gone through all the fixes on here, turn off tailored ads, change DNS settings, been in touch with Youfibre who said it's down to sky and been in touch with sky who said its down to Youfibre!!! I'm about to give up and throw my box out of the window....any help would be appreciated.

Having the same problem since moving to another fibre provider. The next programme in a sequence frequently fails to download with the message "
Failed, Remote network problem"
either fails at the very start of the download or at about 40%.
Any solution out there?

I have regularly had the same problem since I moved to Community Fibre last month. I don't recall there being an issue while I was with Virgin Media broadband. Does Sky Q just not like very fast connections? MLS

Spoke to my iSP today. It's a random fault affecting Q users. As a test I used SkyGo to test download a program that had failed on Q. It downloaded to my phone without a prob, so it's not a config problem with my router.
the ISP believes it's an issue with adverts being downloaded.
I use a point to point service and changed to a new one a few weeks ago. The old one was fine.

I don't seem to be getting this now and done nothing at all

I'm getting this problem randomly. I'm on sky broadband. Internet is fine for everything else. Can stream from Netflix Amazon Prime and Apple TV without any issues.
The problem here is presumably a combination of Sky Q and their download service. It's on 100% Sky to investigate individual problems such as ours so they can figure out what is causing the endemic problem of episodes randomly not downloading; then once they've done that figure out how to fix. If they do indeed "believe in better".

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt's usually caused by the ad insertion engine not connecting to its content server I believe. Some have found changing DNS to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 helps (though the OP said they tried something with DNS with no joy)

What's a "point to point service"?
