As per my aging forum handle we're Virgin Media customers, but after approx. 2 decades we're jumping ship and having Sky broadband installed.
Will Sky Q change it's connections?
What I mean by this is we have the following set-up:
VM Hub <-> ethernet <-> Sky Q Main <-> wifi 5ghz <-> Sky Q mini
NB. Wifi 2ghz is disabled on both Sky Q boxes.
This has and does work flawlessly for us and has done since we got Sky Q when it was first available to non-Sky broadnabd customers - many, many years ago.
Will it keep this set-up or are the Sky Q boxes going to start doing weird things because there's now a Sky router in the vicinity?

It should work the same.
On the old Sky routers, pre-fttp, it would treat the router as a special case.

Thanks.
Hopefully it'll just be a simple hub/router swap then as our internal network is as simple as it can get 🙂
It'll be a few weeks until installation. CityFibre came out yesterday and couldn't do the work as they didn't have the tools to lift paving slabs etc. Something to do with the specific trunking used by BT back in the 90s in our cul-de-sac and where it comes up at the side of the house.
We're keeping VM for a month or 2 just to make sure we're happy before we get rid of it.
