I have YouTube running in 4K through my Sky Q, but not in HDR. I understand that Sky do not currently offer this. Is there any reason (technical or contractual) why they don't offer HDR on YouTube seeing as it is available in other apps?
The Sky Q hardware which is now a getting a bit old doesn't support HDR in the video encoding format used by YouTube. The oldest generation of Sky Q boxes don't even support 4K on YouTube.
