I've been listening to Absolute Classic Rock using the Radioplayer app on Sky Q for months with no problems until yesterday when it stopped working. When I try to listen to it, it just spins whilst it's trying to connect, and it does this forever until I get bored waiting for it.
The Radioplayer App does work for all the other stations I've tried, incuding Absolute 70s.
I've tried turning the Sky Q box off and on again. I've checked it's got the latest software version.
I'm wondering if this is a fault at my end or not. Perhaps someone reading this would be kind enough to check if it works for them and let me know.
I'm talking to Bauer Audio (the owners of Absolute) tech support, but haven't got an answer to "Do you know if it's working for other users" yet.
TIA
Dave

I finally fixed it. I just randomly tried removing Absolute classic rock from the favourites in the Radioplayer app. Then when I added it back to favourites I could access it okay.

Hi @DaveLowther
Just checked here and Absolute Radio Classic Rock working here.
Have you tried refreshing the Apps in the Hidden menu.
To enter hidden menu press Home and navigate down to Settings but do not select Settings.
With Settings highlighted press 0 0 1 Select.
Select Apps
then highlight Refresh all Apps on this box.
You'll see a message that says, 'Your apps are being refreshed'. This will stay on screen until you press Dismiss to return to normal viewing
It’s recommended waiting at least 5 minutes before doing so.
Refresh Apps can take up to 24 hrs to complete .

Hi @oldfella,
Thanks for taking the time to try it and reply.
I hadn't tried Refresh Apps, but I have just set that going.
As you said it can take up to 24 hours, I'll report back here tomorrow to say whether or not it fixed the problem.

Hi @oldfella,
Doing the "Refresh apps" hasn't fixed it. A few minutes ago I put it in standby, then removed the mains plug to let it fully switch off, then put the plug back in again. I still have the original problem.

I've noticed that the Absolute Classic Rock image shown whilst it is playing has been updated. The image for it in favourites hadn't been updated. I suspect the link stored in favourites was, in some way, out of date and perhaps wasn't addressing the correct stream. I've contacted Radioplayer tech support to ask if this was indeed the cause. If it was that that caused it, it's a bit annoying that the favourites didn't get updated with the new information. I wasted a lot of time trying to figure this out.

Thanks for that. I had lost all my stations but now have them back by unliking then liking them again!
