Sky Q - Options when you finish watching a recording

I've been a Sky Q customer for over a year and I still haven't got used to how frustrating the UI is compared to my old trusty Sky HD box (may she rest in peace).

Here are a couple of questions, specifically about options when you finish watching a recording, that I'm asking in the hope I've missed something that can help.

When I've finished watching a recording and I press the Dismiss button, it sometimes goes back to the Recordings screen for that programme (preferred option so I can then delete it), but most of the time it goes back to live TV. I still haven't worked out why the different behaviour. However, going back to live TV is really not useful as I then have to go back into my recordings and find the programme so I can delete it which is cumbersome as I have a 2TB box with 80%+ so there's a LOT of tiles to search through.
On the Sky HD box, when you finished watching a recording, if you fast forwarded to the end a blue screen came up with options which could be selected using the colour buttons on the remote (i.e. delete recording, next recording and so on). Why did they remove these options from Sky Q? Do the colour buttons on the Sky Q remote even do anything?

It would be soooooooooo much easier to be able to pause the programme, and along with the fast rewind/forward timeline, have options to delete or play next using the colour buttons.

hi @Browny78

The different behaviour of the dismiss button taking you to the recordings or back to live TV is actually a bug that never got fixed (& bearing in mind how long it has been outstanding I can't see it being)

Regarding the UI and not reflecting /sharing options from the SKY HD, they developled SKY Q with litle or no reference to SKY HD and was built from the ground up - so it is not a case of removing them (like other aspects) but more a case of just not done that way

Personally I think they could have made better use of the coloured buttons but they seem advers to doing so

A single click of the dismiss button when a recording is playing should not take you back to live TV.

It should take you back to the same menu that started the playback.  You don't get the option to delete if you started it via continue for example.

It will only go back to live TV if tapped twice.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own
