Sky Q No Satellite Signal

After heavy rainfall yesterday evening, the signal started going on my sky channels so I decided to reset the box thinking that would help the situation. How wrong I was!

Now I have no satellite signal at all (under settings it is saying "unlocked" and zero signal strength despite checking all wires etc).
I have reset a dozen times or more but to no avail! Earliest engineer visit I can book is 29th December ... so no television for over Christmas at this rate!
Any further advice anyone may be able to give!?

Pay a local company to fix it before Christmas.

I should've also mentioned that I live in a development where the satellite feed comes from a communal dish via underground cable (IRS installation) and there are no issues from the communal dish so the problem is clearly with my box / at my end.
I haven't had this Sy q box that long but it now keeps freezing when going through a reset and when back on the menus etc

@Burrie

I imagine that suggests a fault in the IRS distribution to the property which wouldn't be addressable by a Sky installer anyway.  Is there a company which does support for the distribution system?

Just a thought: is that single or twin feed?

It's more likely to be the feed - especially as you mentioned since inclement weather.  (I would be contacting your management company too as the infrastructure will be their responsibility)

But you could call Sky and try and convince them to do a box swap (remember to remove your viewing card).

Re: Sky Q No Satellite Signal

It's twin feed, but I had some issues with it all last year so had a sky engineer come out that fitted all sorts of stuff in my cupboard (no idea what it is!) and they then added a power inserter where the faceplate is in my living room with only a single cable connected to it. It has been working obviously since then until last night

Hi @Burrie

If you have carried out a Reset Settings then this will have set the LNB back to Wideband.

You need to go back into the hidden menu and set the LNB to SCR.

After changing the setting you need to power cycle the Q box
