Same with us. YouTube fine on main box and all other devices. Logged out on both mini boxes and won't log back in. Gives an error. Sky Q come on! What's going wrong now???

At the moment I'm in YouTube on the mini box as, a  guest anyway. I can navigate down to the gear symbol for Settings but when I click on it nothing happens...Do I need to log into YouTube as myself reset the app?

Unable to sign into YouTube on Sky Q

I've never had any issues with YouTube while watching through the Sky Q box. However, today I only have limited access to YouTube, no history, and limited video options. I note I'm not signed in, and when I try, it constantly fails to connect. I can't seem to find any solution to this issue.

If you  can login, yes do so.

 

The reset is there in guest mode  also for those times, when login is failing. 

What normally happens, when you do a reset, is it flashes briefly and brings up a get started box, click on that to continue if it appears or it goes to the qr code sign in screen.

Can't log into Youtube on main Sky box

Hi all

 

We have a rather infuriating situation where we can't log into YouTube on the TV that is served by our main Sky box.

 

Bizarrely, we can see and use all our profiles on the TV that is in the kitchen and that one is just connected to a min-box.

 

Has anyone got any idea as to why we can't even log in via our main box, it's driving my wife nuts (and ergo, me!) as she can't log into her subscriptions on YouTube no matter howe many times we try

I have the same issues. Seems to be since the sky issues a couple of days ago

We have had the same issue but bizarrely, can still watch every thing of youtube on a TV that is connected to a mini-box - go figure!

No idea - I just thought the mini-box ran completely off the main box - can you roll back an update?

you can check the software versions on each box though.

No joy...

 

Won't take my Google login to allow me to login into YouTube and go to settings  (keeps asking for a Pin I haven't got!) and settings won't work when I'm not logged in!. Bit stuck...

That will be the two factor authentication on your Google account.

If you set the authentication method to be a pin, then use that pin or use the code that is sent to another device using your Google account.

Aye.. The 2 factor Google authentication asks me for an  email address and password (fine) and then they send me a question on my G Mail with a yes no answer. Then a screen appears on the tv asking for further verification including a pin..which I haven't got...and don't remember asking for

 

Have just spoken to a nice lady at Sky who has suggested that I refresh  the apps again. Not sure if that will work mind!
