Box overheating
Box overheating
being switched off at mains each night due to concern over fire risk
can you please advise

Is it in a well ventilated position? They are designed to get warm but you should be able to rest the palm of your hand down on the top. If you can't then contact Sky to get it swapped. If you do need a new box remember to remove the viewing card from the faulty box.
