Sky Q Mini Box Not Connected to Router

I am getting an error code MR102 with my sky Q mini box. There is a problem joining your network.

 

My main sky Q box is fine, broadband/WiFi is fine and all other devices connected to the WiFi work ok. It's only the sky Q mini box which no longer works.

 

ive tried to reactivate the box with the main sky Q box, rebooted my router, pressed that little button on the router but not getting any luck here. Started last night and no change this morning after trying all of the above again. Any advice please?

Turns out the WiFi chip was knackered and the whole box needed replaced. Didn't have to wait too long on a sky engineer to come out and now all good! Thanks @oldfella  and @Quoman7  for your suggestions again

Hi @Pabs101 in the following order:- Try rebooting your router by removing the power cable for 30 sec then reconnect to reboot, then reboot your main SKYQ box by turning the power off at the socket for 30 sec then turn back on, do the same with the mini box?

Hi @Pabs101 

Try a Network Reset on the mini.
Network Reset found in mini Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to WPS with main Q box.
You will be asked to press the WPS button on the main Q box (not the mini as the Network reset will start the mini WPS automatically).

If you are on Sky Broadband and the Router is nearer to the mini than the main box then you can try pressing WPS on the router instead of the main Q box. If you do this make sure you press the Sky router WPS button and not the router reset button.  However if you are on Sky broadband with the Sky Max router you have to connect to the main Q box as above.

Failing all of the above you may need a Sky Q WiFi Booster to position midway between your main Q box and the mini and you will need to contact Sky directly.

Thanks for that @oldfella and when I called up Sky we started doing that and reconnecting the remote but for some reason when it came to reconnecting to the Sky WiFi the option couldn't be selected! Same with the option to select another provider! I've now got an engineer on there way to the house tomorrow morning
