Should I set up sky tv box?

Im switching from virgin tv/broadband to sky. The broadband is being set up in a couple of weeks but I received the tv box today. Should I wait for broadband switch or can I connect sky tv now?

You don't have to wait.

Also, you mention switch.  Remember that TV services are not included in OpenTouch Switch - so if you haven't given Virgin notice about your TV then it will remain active until you do.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Hi @charb

If you are getting Sky Q you need a Satellite dish and the correct Wideband LNB.

If it is Sky stream you are  getting then you need to post in the Sky stream forum.  You post can be moved to the  correct forum if you confirm you are not getting Sky Q TV.

Normally with Q all TV equipment is supplied by the Engineer at Installation and only the broadband router is sent out beforehand.
