Sky Q Constantly losing connection
So for about 3 months we've had this issue that the Sky Q box (main box) drops off the internet saying "no network connection" it's then goes round and round trying to reconnect. Sometimes "resetting" it (pressing the wps button et al) works and we get connected until next time it decides it doesn't have a connection. The WiFi/broadband is working fine as devices all over the house are connected while this claims we don't have a network connection.
We got a new box, which arrived today. All set up perfectly and we thought bingo! But no. It's dropped out and said no connection. so we are unable to do anything on our main tv.
It's driving us mad as I'm paying for a service I can't use!
any suggestions please? Or shall I book an engineer? (Is that even possible without going through the rigmarole of calling csd) thanks!

hi,
we have our broadband with Sky and have the WiFi max hub (homehub6). I'm not even sure if that's the info you need lol

Thanks, it is.
A number of people have had issues with EE broadband/hubs recently, hence the question.
I would go through the Service Checker in the MySky app to see if it flags any issues and even if it doesn't, it should allow you to book an engineer once you have completed troubleshooting.
Otherwise the tried and tested "turn it all off at the mains for 10 minutes" (including the router/hub), is always a good shout as a starting point.

Re: Sky Q Constantly losing connection
Is that the white one? I thought WPS didn't work with that and you had to tell it to connect as if it was a 3rd party ISP?

No idea. Where did you get "csd" from?
And why have you jumped on someone else's thread to rant?
