Sky News 501 Suddenly Pin Protected

Hi guys

Suddenly, every time I select Sky News Ch 501 I am asked for my Pin. Never happened before! Any ideas how I remove Pin protection from this channel please? Very irritating!

Just checked here and yes it currently needs Pin requirement 

Maybe Sky have decided the current program to be Adult rated

Just turned over to Sky News at 1701 and no pin required so I think @oldfella was spot on.

The program in question was related to current events in the Middle East and was rated 12 hence the pin requirement

The Pin Protection has been switching on and off all day for me. Sometimes it requires a Pin, sometimes it doesn't. Maybe Sky are fiddling with something? Hopefully it will settle down eventually. Crazy to have Pin protection on a news channel!

FYI It was/is the program "Netanyahu" which was/is Pin protected. It's on again now and is Pin protected!

I contacted our Viewer Relations team on your behalf who confirmed ch501 should not be PIN-protected, if you have any more examples of this please pop them in here with the time and programme running at that time and I'll have our technical teams look into it.

Just wanted to pop an update that I spoke to our technical teams who confirmed "Netanyahu" is rated 12 so it would've prompted the PIN protection during the day. If you have anymore examples I'd be happy to get them checked 🙂

I've had this problem before and rang Sky - they told me to turn of the sky Q box and it did the trick. Now it's happening again on Sky news 501 - it is happening every time I go back to it. It is frustrating and stopping my enjoyment as I channel hop

started to work itselfs after an hour .

i only have broadband - had a sky package ages ago so sky staff or the website couldn't  help either !!
