Sky Multiscreen

I have power points and the TVs ready to go but do I need any sort of internet connection in the Mini Box rooms or just for the main box downstairs? TIA

Hi @AJ291

You don't need any Ethernet connection sockets for the mini if that's what you mean as mini boxes normally work on WiFi from the main Q box (or the Sky Q router if on Sky Broadband).

The main Q box  also uses WiFi connection to the router.

That said if Ethernet if connections are readily available for all Q boxes this is a bonus as full Ethernet connection is ideal.

It depends (but probably).

The Q will create its own network between boxes - the mini's act as slaves to the main unit.

If you want to run apps on your mini's then they connect to your WiFi directly.

If Sky are installing then they have extenders where needed.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
