Sky Mix SD

What channel is Sky Mix - SD ?

I have it on HD - But if I dump Sky HD (£9 is not worth it) - Do I lose Sky Mix ?

Re: Sky Mix SD

Sky Mix HD is free (channel 151) so you can receive it without a subscription. There is no SD version on satellite.

As @xenon81 states SKY Mix HD is Free to Air and thus you do not need any subscription to view it  (you just need any box capable of viewing HD Satellite channels)

Discovery (125) is a subscription channel and sd as standard so hd sub required for the hd version

The Discovery+ app isn't affected by the Sky HD subscription. All programmes on the app available in HD will continue to stream in that format without the Sky HD pack.

Re: Sky Mix SD

So it appears that sky HD is pointless

Re: Sky Mix SD

It depends if you want the 40 or so HD channels that are included in the Sky HD pack (and associated On Demand content).

Re: Sky Mix SD

@xenon81

These 40 channels are still viewable in SD though ?

And with Discovery+ STILL in HD - It does appear pointless and a waste of money to pay £9 for HD

@Wibbly-Woo

£9 is the undiscounted price.

Re: Sky Mix SD

@Daniel0210

I am aware of that - but I am being charged that

My account has been administered by PRIORITY CUSTOMERS for a year or more and I have tried to get "released" from them - but am unable to ....

I have also tried to find out exactly WHY my account was treated like this - but they won't tell me

I have ALWAYS paid my Sky bill on time in the 23 years that I have been a customer and have no idea why I am being treated this way

I am unable to use "alternative" methods to get discounts so feel stuck

When asked what my options are, Priority say "YOU CAN ALWAYS LEAVE SKY"

I am disabled and unable to speak on the phone - but am able to converse via Email - so that can't be a reason

I currently pay £80 for Q Ultimate, HD,  2nd box, and Sport - which is some £30 more than I should be paying

I previously (for 20 years) was happy using Sky accessibility team

@Wibbly-Woo

Many people would consider the image quality resulting from native SD content being upscaled to fill a UHD panel is unacceptable, and that alone makes paying the HD supplement 'worth it'.

You can choose to disagree if you wish.

@Wibbly-Woo

Your query about dropping HD and its cost was discussed at length in another thread of yours so there's no reason to repeat it
