I thought sky crime on catch up was free but I have a message on the screen that says free for 2 months then £8 per month

Can anyone advise if this is right?

It is probably that you are trying to download a programme in HD without having the HD add on.

Try changing your download preference to SD
Main Menu -> Settings -> Setup -> Preferences
