Hello,
After 4 years of constant use, I think my SKY Q STB HDD is starting to develop issues when it comes to recordings. I have noticed lately in the last couple of weeks that when I want to record anything like a Movie or a Show manually it has queued the recording when there is nothing else recoding. when looking at Downloading all the tapes are paused and if you try to resume from Pause it doesn't do anything. The only way to resolve this is to isolate the power of the SKY Q STB by turning off the power switch at the plug socket (Don't unplug the SKY Q Brick) ideally leaving this for about 2 - 4 minutes is sufficient enough you just want to drain the power from the capacitors and then either plug the SKY Q back into the socket or flip the power switch on the plug socket. Now everything is working fine and I can manually record again. I have never had an engineer in the 4 years that I have been a customer because I am a Network Engineer, I can resolve 99.9% of the issues myself. However, this one is either a faulty SKY Q STB or it is a known issue with the latest firmware update and this will be resolved in the next firmware update.
Are there any other customers experiencing the same issue as me or is this just an isolated issue?
