Was watching SKY upto 6pm last night, went out for a few hours and when I came back in I noticed that my SKY Q box was making a strange whirring noise continuously (never got this before). The power light was green but no signal was on the TV. I tried switching it off and on but no difference....
Sky Q just won't start up as normal, it won't boot up. The amber light on the box changes to green using both the remote control and the button on the box but the tv stays black. I changed the batteries on the remote but I get the same issue. I switched the box off (amber light) then pulled the power cable out, waited a few minutes, then connected the power cable. The box started whirring and the word "Hello" appears on the TV followed by "You Will Be Ready To Go In a Couple of Minutes" but the TV just goes black, the blue logo on the front of the Sky Q box stops flashing and the light on the front of the box is amber. Box continues whirring sound with no output to tv...
I've tried resetting several times but I can't get past this screen.

Update: SKY Q box had to be replaced by an engineer, unfixable! Very annoying as this is the third time that I've had to replace my box and lost all my recordings yet again!
