SKY LOCKED ME OUT OF ON DEMAN AND APPS SERVICE

CAN ANY ONE FROM ANYWERE PLEASE HELP ,WE HAD SCAFFOLDING PUT UP WHICH HAS BLOCED THE SAT SIGNAL ALL GOOD AS HAD ALL THE ON DEMAND SERVICES AND APP(WE HAVE NO AERIAL AND ITS NOT A SMART TV)ALL BEEN GREAT UNTIL TADAY AND CANT USE ANYTHING,BEEN WITH SKY 24 YEARS AND HAVE ONE OF THE MOST EXPENSIVE PACKAGES.I FINE THIS APPALING I CANT RING THEM AS MY NAME IS NOT ON THE ACCOUNT AND MY HUSBAND IS BUSY WORKING,WHY IS THIS DONE AND OPTION TO GO BACK TO AS IT WAS.ANY ADVICE AND HELP WOULD BE GREAT THANK YOU ALL(CAPS DUE TO VISION)

UNFORTUNATELY THE  SKY  Q  BOXES NEED A PERIODIC SIGNAL VIA THE SATELLITE

 

THEY WORK FOR A PERIOD UNTIL THE NEXT ONE IS DUE AND THEN THE BOX SHUTS DOWN IF IT DOESN'T GET ONE

 

YOU NEED THE SATELLITE SIGNAL BACK FOR ANYTHING ON THE BOX TO WORK

THE QUICKEST SOLUTION WOULD BE TO PAY A LOCAL FIRM TO MOVE THE DISH (IF PHYSICALLY POSSIBLE)

 

SKY MAY CHARGE AND MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE THAT SOON.

iT ALL DEPENDS WHEN THE AUTHORISATION SIGNAL IS DUE.

 

WE HAVE SEEN CASES OF STOP WORKING AFTER ONLY A COUPLE OF DAYS AND OTHERS OF SEVERAL WEEKS - LIKE YOURS.

 

i AM NOT SURE THE MAXIMUM TIME THEY WORK WITHOUT A SIGNAL BUT I THINK IT IS PROBABLY AROUND SIX WEEKS 

 

 

AS @PandJ2020 SAYS IF THE SCAFFOLDING IS UP FOR A LOT LONGER YOU MAY WANT TO CONSIDER GETTING THE DISH MOVED IF POSSIBLE BUT IT MAY NOT BE WORTH IT.

 

 

YOU CAN WATCH ON A SKYGO APP BUT THAT MAY NOT BE SUITABLE IF YOU HAVE POOR EYESIGHT
