Returns need packaging and lable
Need to return my Sky Q box
Called sky was told to return it in the Sky Puc box
How it's smaller than the Sky Q box
Also trying to print off a lable that i can not find.
I called Sky got through to Mumbai (probably). They had kindly sent me a link which i have already seen.
I have managed to get hold of a box to use (which isn't Sky packaging).
I spoke to my local post office about printing me a label etc. and it was like talking to Kevin and Perry.
Can anyone please help. I don't want Sky to contact me last minute saying they are charging me for something i'm trying to send back to them ASAP.
Thank you Lisa

Re: Returns need packaging and lable
@LisaK125
If you’ve successfully cancelled Sky should send out returns packaging (to the address where the account was active) near the end of any cancellation period (which is 14 days for broadband and 31 days for Sky Q) for any loaned equipment they are expecting back.
NOTE: Posts on here suggest in some cases Sky are not requesting the return of some Sky Q boxes (check with them if you’re unsure).
If the arrival of packaging is delayed, it’s damaged on arrival or doesn’t arrive it’s the customers responsibility to use their own packaging to return it. You can use any packaging as long as it’s secure and you may want to put a note inside with your account number and a list of equipment that is included. This link explains about how to receive an email with your return labels through Royal Mail.

Keep your proof of posting safe and indefinitely and if you use Royal Mail’s collect from home service, keep a record of the tracking number.

Re: Returns need packaging and lable
I saw the same reports of people not to sent the box back but I was told over the phone not long ago they want the Q and Sky mini box back. I got till wait till april to see if I get the packaging or not as royal mail has not been reliable. Might need to get a box to post it.

Sky packaging being sent to you should appear via your order tracking page:

Sky will contact you with a list of exactly what they want returned, if anything. You will receive a list of hardware they want you to return and packaging should be sent, along with a freepost returns label. If some of your hardware is not listed then you do not need to return it and can dispose of it as you wish, either via a local electrical recycling service or you can send it back to Sky for recycling.
Now that Q is reaching end of life, they are not requesting older Q boxes be returned as they are no longer refurbished. Newer v3 boxes are still likely to be asked for return, along with miniboxes.

Re: Returns need packaging and lable
Mine is a newer V3 box 2TB so that's probably why they want it back but the mini is old as it came with the V1 Sky Q box that was since replaced. Told over the phone all they want is the 2 boxes, power leads and remotes and it was in an email after.
I won't see any returns till April as they just not long had my notice so I will check my account closer to the time still within the 31 days notice period.
