Renewal Price

I have a renewal price which is £44 and I only want the basics. You can get this much cheaper with sky stream. It is a huge jump from £24.50 per month and I cannot afford it. Plus the box is a few years old. Ive been a customer for 10 years and I feel I should receive a better deal. I am on PIP and unable to work at the moment so every penny counts. If the renewal price cannot be considerably lowered then I have no option to cancel. Please help

You aren’t contacting Sky Customer Services here. This is predominantly a customer led discussion forum where Sky customers are available to help other customers.

Was that renewal amount after speaking with an agent to negotiate?

Re: Renewal Price

@Ross+H Good luck with that. Some of us are approaching 30 years as a customer and don't get decent renewal prices.

It's a failing of all companies that long term custom is not valued as much as new custom.

If your discounted minimum term has ended or its ending soon the best new discounts are still normally acquired by calling Sky and negotiating or potentially amending your package which will require a new 24 month minimum term contract. Recent posts on here indicate that significant discounts are now harder to come by. If you’re offered something acceptable be prepared to agree to it there and then because if you decide to think about it the offer may no longer be available when you call back. Also remember you’re not a new customer so expecting anything close to a new customer deal is unrealistic.

Then you want the 'Essentials' package.  But it depends on your defintion of 'basics'.

Essentials will provide you freeview channels and the ability to record etc. without having to return the Q box.

It retails at £15pm but you may be able to negotiate it cheaper if you commit to a 2 year deal.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
