I've removed Sky Q. I now need to plug an aerial into my TV but none of the cables seem to fit. Do I need to buy something to add to the sky cable to fit my tv?

You cannot plug the satellite dish into your TV. (The LNB won't be compatible)
Alternatively, you could purchase a FreeSat 4K box that will be.

A 'sky cable' (ie from a satellite dish) will only connect into the back of a television set if the TV itself is a model which contains a satellite tuner as well as a digital terrestrial tuner.
Unfortunately even with a satellite tuner, there's still likely to be a problem with reception through a dish previously used for Sky Q.
As @PandJ2020 indicates, what you probably need is a cable coming from an aerial, not a dish.

The alternative solution is to acquire a Freesat 4K box, but unfortunately those aren't cheap. Earlier Freesat receivers won't work through a Q dish.

There used to an aerial there I'm guessing the Sky guy tidied that up when installing Q. Thanks for your help

They are unlikely to have touched any RF leads.
However, you should have a plate on the wall if you have an aerial - it's a very standard RF lead to connect that plate to your TV.
