Remote not working

The volume and record buttons have stopped working on my remote.  Other buttons are fine.  I've tried re-pairing the remote with the TV but none of the 15 options for Toshiba work and after trying them all I get a message saying my tv isn't supported and I should use the TV remote to control the TV.  

until recently everything worked and all other buttons work.  I've replaced the batteries and checked no buttons are stuck.  What else can I try?

In the meantime if you have an Apple or Android device with Sky Go you can set up a virtual remote to control your Q boxes.
