Remote control
Firstly I believe this simple yet brilliant idea 💡 is mine.
Secondly I don't have the finances and know how to do it myself.
Ready, remote controls with a gentle push pad-like button on the back of the device which in turn lights up the symbols on your remote.

Hi @Jamie+nodle
Afraid remotes with backlit controls has far exceeded button operation.
The backlight comes on automatically when the remotes are moved.

Whatever you wish @Jamie+nodle
However as you have posted this on a Sky forum I can assure you that Sky Q remotes will never receive backlites.

Re: Remote control
Why not,I've asked many people and they also find it annoying when one inadvertently presses the incorrect button.
Often losing the channel one is watching or even turning the entire system off.
Then having to get up and turn the lights on and having to start again, this is unbelievably annoying and happens quite alot. Thanking you.

Hi @Jamie+nodle
I suspect 90 % of Device remotes have no backlight.
Most people know their remotes and can operate them without.
If you want an alternative Q remote and have an Apple device try the following
to control your Q boxes.
See following link.

Re: Remote control
Think not as I often struggle to see my buttons of an evening.
Don't be clever by going on about Apple device as no one likes a smart **bleep**.
The amount of money people pay voluntary to sky is surely enough to put my 💡 idea forward and ask their customers.
Many huge companies have disappeared when they take their customers for granted.

Hi @Jamie+nodle There used to be an ideas section in the community, it was a black hole but kept people happy thinking that they were being listened to. I use a harmony remote to control my Sky Q that lights up automatically on movement. In fact all my backlit remotes light up on movement.

Re: Remote control
Mine don't and I would like to decide when and when not to use my back lite/light.
Anyway I believe 100 % that most customers would appreciate such a feature and why not as u don't have to use it if that is the case.

Remote controllers
I would like an audience with a representative from the company SKY.
This is in relation to my suggestion that remotes with a large push button on the back that lights up the front symbols would be nice.

Re: Remote control
Time sky supplied a back lite control for the Q box. Can it be that difficult for them in this day and age. Do not like the rounded shape on the back either!

Re: Remote control
Sky Q has been around since 2016 and it would appear it has a future lifespan of another 5-6 years. Although there have been a couple of revised remotes since the beginning it's extremely doubtful Sky are going to spend mega bucks on devising such a remote.

@TONYGS Sky Q is now 8 years old almost 9 and will more than likely end around 2029 ish so its very unlikely that Sky will redesign the remote controls at this stage
I may be a Sky Superuser but I am still just a Sky customer
