Recorded progs taking up space, but can't watch.

I set the planner to record a series.

For a start, all the episode are all out of order which has led me to set planner to get missing episodes. Which has now led me to find over a 100 episodes over 3 series, in the "Manage" "Disc Space"bit. Weeks of me setting to record certain episodes as they repeat, that Never showed up on the planner, are all registering as being recorded & taking up space, but I can either Del/Keep/Lock/Del-All, or More Options, that takes me to what I already have, & but its not giving me the option to watch the missing "recorded" episodes. Even if I delete it, and undelete it, it still doesn't show up.

Why? How do I stop it from doing it, if possible, but most of all, how do I watch them? I'm half way through a series, I need to watch a missing ep to watch the ones that are recorded.
