I've have a full sky package, but I'm not permitted to watch previous recordings !! It says I need to upgrade to these channels !! Which I already have

No, never rebooted, I usually turn off my tv, etc at the end of the evening

No, haven't cancelled any packages. It has only just stopped allowing me to view recordings in the last couple of weeks

Switch off the box at the plug
Wait at least 30 seconds
Switch the box back on at the plug
Follow the on screen instructions
When the blue Q on the front of the box stops illuminating wait another 30 seconds then press the home 🏠 button on the remote..
Some things will take 5-10 minutes to return. If necessary then do the same with mini boxes.

Think I may of found the issue. Not having the full HD package !! I've seen others people's posts & what their experience was, with the answers too.
I've now tried SD & this works. Not sure how/why I've now not got full HD after watching programs in full HD for quite some time
