Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreYes, you're right delivery to the Sky Q app is via your broadband connection. I can't find any other recent posts reporting the same problem, so it may be a wifi issue. You could give Sky a call?
I've moved your post to the Sky Go & apps forum where others with a similar problem are likely to be aware of it.

Which Sky services are you subscribing to (Plus, Q, Glass, Stream)?

Mark39 I am using Sky q apps menu to access Discovery plus. My understanding is that this content as with all other apps(Netflix Prime etc) is delivered via Internet not Sat dish? So I think the app is flawed, never a problem on BT Sport

Hi Mark, in response i do not have any wifi issues or any issues at all with any other apps on the menu only Discovery? It must be a Discovery app issue and Sky need to investigate. As far as no other complaints on champions league nights Twitter (X) is full of similar complaints
