Q box broken
My sky box is broken, been diagnosed by a technician who put a computer type thing on the plugs from satellite and it worked perfectly, so just need a box. Can I swap without going through the rigmarole of phoning them

Was this an official Sky engineer? If so why didn't they swap the box?
You'll need to contact Sky to arrange a new box. Any replacement will likely be via what is called a doorstep box swap. If you do need a new box remember to remove the viewing card from the faulty box before it disappears into the back of the couriers van and accept any new power cable DPD deliver with the replacement box in case it's different to the one you have.
