Sky Q isn't going backwards because it's got a lot of technical capabilities HD could never deliver, and the lack of one feature that's been largely made redundant by on-demand streaming plus smartphones and their quick verbal reminders isn't that significant, as much as it would be nice to have.

So can we just all agree to never talk about this again? 😆

Maybe that day will come in 4 years time. 😁  Assuming Sky don't renew their carriage agreement with SES in 2028, that is.

I'd observe that as Sky is increasingly 'encouraging' the remaining Sky+ / Sky+ HD users into migrating to Q, this is going to re-emerge as a live topic.

You seem to have confused this thread with something that will actually get done.

I had a phone call from Sky yesterday asking why I hadn't switched to Sky Q yet.

I said Reminders, Bookmarks and Slow Motion.

Makes me wonder whether they used the reminder feature on the tv before connecting the Sky+HD box🤣

Re: Put Back program reminder on Sky Q

Having been forced to move from sky+ to sky Q due to loss of programmes and malfunction of sky + box , I now find that there is no programme reminder availability on sky Q. Who in their right mind would decide that (especially my generayion and age group - the aged) this utter stupid omission. Since my sky + box has gone to recycle I have no come back. I used the reminder button frequently and is was extremely useful when I forgot whilst watching another programme that I need to turn channels. Extremely por decision sky.

@monarda

No one is being 'forced' to move to Sky Q. You could have purchased a second hand Sky+HD box and used that for the foreseeable future. Obviously Sky no longer support Sky+ or Sky+HD so from a point of view of have engineer support for issues is a bonus.

Q was a move away from linear viewing.  You simply record all the programmes you want to watch and then play at your leisure.
