Problems with pausing a programme.
On a couple of programmes tonight we've paused it to go and do something and when we returned the programme had restarted itself. I'm currently watching Preston v Leicester. The same thing happened so I deliberately paused it and waited. It restarted itself within approx 10 seconds. I tried it again two or three times with the same result. When we tried to rewind the earlier programme it would not go back to where we had originally paused it. Suffice to say I don't want to risk trying to rewind the match as I have no confidence in where it will go to! Any advice greatly appreciated.

Re: Problems with pausing a programme.
Try rebooting the Sky Q box then once that’s back up and running do the same with any mini boxes if necessary-
~ Using the remote put your main Sky Q box into standby
~ switch the box off at the plug
~ wait at least 30 seconds and then switch the box back on at the plug
~ follow the on screen instructions
~ when the screen goes blank and the blue Q stops pulsating wait another 30 seconds
~ press the 🏠 button

Re: Problems with pausing a programme.
Thanks for the info. Didn't want to respond straightaway as I wanted to see if it worked or not. Followed the above only to have problem re surface a day or two after. The last two FI races have failed to record properly which is annoying as its one thing I like to watch. I have to avoid the results and watch the race when it is repeated later. I can't help but feel that this is connected in someway as the problem seems to reappear at that time. The Bolton v Barnsley match a few days after I had problems again with pausing the programme. I noticed that when it was paused it restarted itself. I paused it a few times to see what happened. It would only go back to the (latest/last) pause point. Hence I missed some of the action. Again given that I wanted to watch that match as it is a local team to me missing chunks of the action was frustrating and annoying. I have followed these procedures again. We'll see what happens.
