SKY remote phone technicians identified problems with not the main SKY Q box. Our mini boxes which kept going to sleep.
2 Engineers turned up yesterday 14th July 2025 did not look at the problem Mini Boxes but concentrated on the SKY Q box.
The mini boxes were set to Eco mode apparently. So all they needed to do was check all equipment before ANY REPLACEMENT BOXES. THESE IDIOTS DID NEITHER. We were asked how much space was taken on the SKY Q box as over 50% can cause additional mini boxes to go to sleep. Absolute balderdash. The took away our original SKY Q box which was NOT THE PROBLEM
FAILED TO TELL US THAT OUR CHERISHED KEPT FILMS WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE ON THE NEW SKY Q box. Had this very important information been communicated we would never have allowed a replacement. We are now insisting SKY to find the SKY Q box taken away by YUSEF and Kirsty and for this to be returned. We did pose the question to SKY as the recordings are via SATELLITE and there should be available under our Customer Number somewhere in the CLOUD. I USE ONEDRIVE TO STORE MY PHOTOS AND VIDEOS IN THE CLOUD. SURLEY SKY IN THE 21st Century should be aware of this and stop causing problems for their paying customers, Watch this space. We have been told verbally this can be performed.

The recordings were stored on the hard drive of the main box, not in 'the cloud'. Personally I'd be surprised if the old main Sky Q box finds its way back to you dispite your insistence I'm afraid.

What, exactly?
The hard drive was never intended for long term storage. Any purchased films are in the 'cloud' and can be downloaded at will.
Anything recorded in realtime from a satellite channel won't be - unless it's still being broadcast or on catchup.
