You can also add a PIN to Sky Q apps that you don’t want your kids watching or using.

To do this:

  1. Press Home on your Sky Q remote and select Settings, then Parental.
  2. Enter your Sky TV PIN.
  3. Select PIN for Apps, then you can apply a PIN to all apps or select individual apps, to do this select the app you want to add a PIN to, by pressing the right button and selecting ‘on’.
  4. To remove a PIN for an app, follow the instruction above but change it to ‘no’.
  5. Once a PIN has been added to an app, every time it’s accessed you’ll need to enter the PIN to open the app.

Netflix and BBC iPlayer can't be PIN protected as they have their own PIN settings within the app.

Chodley, I was told by the Sky Forum ( The people who are suppose to have the knowledge) If it was possible to filter away Sky Q apps ,

I was told NO ,

So i searched on Chrome ( Which appeared to have more KNOWLEDGE 🤔

And contradicted what the Sky Community was Advising me ! So it seems YOU CAN INDEED !

I think you've misread the information, setting the PIN for apps doesn't hide them, it just controls the access to them:

You're not talking to Sky here - just other customers.

You'll have to call Sky to cancel your account.

@COBRAUK1

You might be able to do this yourself without calling:

In the Mysky app on a phone or tablet.

Go to the TV section, then My Bill section, there will be a section listed Marketplace, under that click on View subscriptions.

You will be able to cancel it there.

I don't understand what you are experiencing. I have Amazon Prime (use it quite a lot) but I don't get it "coming up" at any point unless I open the app myself

@COBRAUK1 I would imagine that the episode you are trying to Download is available on Prime, therefore it's asking you to subscribe.

Yeah it's probably showing in the "top picks" or something - the logo at the top of the tile tells you which service you need for that content.
